1092 - A good Turkoman Ensi

This Ensi or door curtain is a traditional part of Turkoman culture. They are nearly always divided into four panels the symbolism of which is still disputed. Fine weaving and soft wool make this a really interesting rug. Note the mihrab shaped form at the top. C1950’s
