1316 - An early finely drawn hand-knotted Persian Saruq
These Saruq rugs originate from a village of the same name in the area around Arak in western Persia. This rug is beautifully drawn with close cropped wool and predominately natural dyes. A delightful main border frames the central design and although a little low this rug still has immense charm.
