1325 - A fine hand knotted Ersari Turkmen rug

A fine quality Turkemn Ersari rug which has been used as a wall hanging for many years. Finely detailed in soft velvety wool and the design, with the cross is known as an Engsi and they were used as door hangings and were also known as ‘The Doorway to Paradise’.
